THEATRE ACCESS SEATING PLAN

AN INTRODUCTION TO CURVE

Entrances

Curve is a large, round building with a glass front.

There are two main entrances into the building – Halford Street and Rutland Street – which each have a set of glass double doors that open outwards automatically.

We use what3words to make our venue more accessible. The exact location of our Halford Street entrance (close to our Green Room Café) can be found at ///wide.wiping.dared, whilst our Rutland Street entrance (close to our Box Office) can be found at ///driver.other.ideal.

There is level access to the Foyer from both entrances.

Part of Curve's public foyer. A large red wall with a black skirting board and doors is adorned with production pictures. here is a large screen in the distance and audience members are walking within the image.

Foyer

Upon arrival at the theatre, all audience members will be asked to scan the NHS QR code using their NHS COVID-19 app, or provide their names and contact details to a designated member of the Curve team before being directed into the Foyer. This is to ensure that everyone receives the necessary public health advice in a timely manner.

Our Foyer is one big circle which goes around our two performance spaces – the Theatre and the Studio. As you walk around our Foyer, you will notice lots of large pictures on the big red walls. This is our Production Gallery, and features pictures from previous productions here at Curve.

Box Office

Just off the Foyer inside the Rutland Street doors, you will find our Box Office.

We continue to encourage customers to use e-tickets which can either be printed at home or shown to the usher via their smart phone upon arrival

If you have not received your e-ticket as expected, please first check your spam and junk email folders. If you still cannot find your e-ticket, please contact our Box Office team by emailing [email protected]

You can also validate your car parking ticket for the reduced rate of £5.50* at the Box Office (if you have parked in the NCP Rutland Centre Car Park).

Green Room Café and Stage Door Bar

In the Foyer you will also find our Green Room Café and Stage Door Bar, where we will have a limited refreshments offering to reduce queuing.

We encourage audience members to pre-order interval refreshments with our team members at any of our bars or café pre-show to minimise queues during intervals.

Our hospitality staff will continue to use enhanced cleaning processes, wash hands regularly and wear face coverings. Acrylic screens will also be in place at the paying station.

We will now be accepting cash payments but encourage contactless payments using a debit or credit card, or smart device.

Accessible & Changing Places Toilets

You can find toilets on all levels of the building. On the ground floor (Stalls level), male, female and accessible toilets are located between our Stage Door Reception and Box Office, and close to our café.
